American Tribal Style Belly Dance
American Tribal Style® Belly Dance is a unique modern style of belly dance inspired by folkloric and tribal dances from India, the Middle East, Spain, Turkey, and Morocco. The dancers share a common vocabulary of movements, steps, and cues that allows them to create a spontaneous performance that appears choreographed but is actually completely improvised. The traditional steps have been modified and put into improvisational group context to create a unique style with both a traditional and modern flavor.
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance
A modern Western form of belly dance which was created by fusing American Tribal Style belly dance and American Cabaret belly dance. Artists frequently incorporate elements from Popping, Hip Hop, 'Egyptian' or 'Cabaret' belly dance, as well as movement principles from traditional forms such as Flamenco, Kathak, Odissi, and other folkloric and classical dance styles.
